We are in the heart of the Po Delta Park, halfway between Ferrara and the Adriatic Sea.
A strategic location that makes us easily reachable from all of Northern Italy: 25 minutes from Ferrara, 1 hour from Bologna, Padua and Ravenna.
The kennel has private parking and large green spaces where our Staffies grow up freely.
Visits By Appointment Only
To ensure the dogs' tranquility and dedicate you the necessary time, we receive exclusively by appointment.
During your visit you will meet the parents, see the environment where puppies grow, view genetic test certificates and ask all the questions you want.

Reaching us from outside Italy
Ostellato sits in the Po Delta, between Ferrara and the Adriatic. It is a quiet corner of Italy, but not a remote one: two international airports are within easy reach.
A hire car from Bologna or Venice is the simplest way. If you are staying over, tell us in advance and we will point you to farm stays and small hotels nearby — this is holiday country, and there is no shortage of good places to sleep.

Why Come in Person
A Staffordshire Bull Terrier will be with you for 12 to 15 years. That is a decision worth a journey.
You will see how the puppies are raised, meet the parents, judge their temperament for yourself and see the house they live in. No photograph and no video call replaces standing in the room.
It matters more, not less, when you live in another country: it is the one occasion you have to check in person everything you have read on a screen.
Before You Get in Touch
Can I visit without an appointment?
No. We receive by appointment only, so that the dogs stay calm and we can give you as much time as you need. A visit usually takes a couple of hours, and nobody is in a hurry.
Is it worth travelling from abroad?
Families reach us from Milan and Florence in two and a half hours and go home the same day; from Ljubljana or Zagreb it is a day's drive, or a short flight into Bologna. If you are seriously considering one of our puppies, the journey is the smallest part of the commitment.
Do you deliver puppies?
No. Puppies do not travel by courier and are not handed over halfway in a car park. You come and collect, and that is deliberate: it is how we see who we are entrusting a dog to.
Which languages do you speak?
Italian, and enough English to sort out everything that matters. Write in English — if something needs care, we take the time to get it right rather than guess.
What should I bring?
Yourself and your questions. We will show you the parents, the puppies if there are any, the laboratory certificates, the pedigrees and the rooms the dogs actually live in. Ask to see anything you like.
How much does a puppy cost?
