Black Panther has left Ostellato and is now on his way to Giulianova. He has the name of a king of Wakanda, but in his new family's arms he behaved like a gentleman: quiet, composed, watching the world. He doesn't know it yet, but those are the hands he'll be sleeping in for the next few years.
They came to meet him before taking him away: that's how it's done, always. In a couple of weeks, once the vaccinations are finished, he leaves.
And we'll stay behind, looking at the photos they send us.
Forty-five days: that's when a puppy shows who it is.
In the first month they're all the same, they eat and sleep. Then comes the lawn, and the differences show up in two minutes — who runs ahead, who stops to sniff, who comes back to look for you.
That's why we don't let anyone choose a puppy from photos. You have to see them move, and there have to be two sets of eyes watching: ours, since we've known them for forty-five days, and yours, since you know what kind of life you would give them.
Thirty days.
Half the time they will spend here before going to their family. Puppies stay with their mother for at least sixty days: this is the month in which they learn from her things that no one can teach in her place.
In the meantime, they grow up at home, amid the everyday noises.

One of our Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppies, rehomed a few months ago, now at Marta's home. The blue one playing with him is not a sibling: he's an American Staffordshire Terrier, the housemate. Two different breeds living together peacefully — it's a matter of selection and daily management, not luck.

Double title for Lothar Matthäus, known as Tyson: CH SLO and J. CH ITA. A Staffordshire Bull Terrier bred by us, Allevamento Del Piccolo Diavolo, and raised with dedication by Sergio Patrucco, whom we thank for the way he presents him in the show ring.
Correct structure, free movement, breed type and that cheerful, confident temperament that makes the Staffordshire Bull Terrier unmistakable, in the ring and at home.

They are born and raised in our home, not in kennels. It's a choice we've made since we started in 2013, and it shows in their temperament: the first eight weeks are half of a dog's socialization window, and what a puppy encounters during that time — household noises, people coming and going, the normal life of a family — becomes part of its world forever.
They are Staffordshire Bull Terriers with ENCI pedigree, from parents tested L2HGA and HC clear. We test both breeding dogs before every mating, and we show the certificates to anyone who comes to visit us.
We have only a few litters a year and we get to know the families beforehand: a phone call, a few questions, often a visit. It's not a closed-door selection; it's the reason our puppies stay where they went.
