## Ethics, Health and Responsible Selection

In our kennel, **genetic health** comes first. Every stud dog undergoes complete screening before entering the program.

A stud dog weighs far more on the future of a line than a bitch does: a female produces 2 or 3 litters in her lifetime, a male can father dozens of puppies. That is why the bar for admission is higher, not lower.

We look at three things, in this order. **Temperament**: an insecure or reactive dog does not enter the programme, however correct its conformation, because a temperament fault propagates for generations and shows itself in family homes, not in the ring. **Breathing**: a dog that struggles after a few minutes of trotting, or suffers in the first warm weather, has a welfare problem regardless of how many titles sit in its pedigree. And **type without exaggeration**: a correct head and solid bone, but never at the expense of function.

Our males are tested for:

✓ **L2HGA** — L-2-Hydroxyglutaric Aciduria

✓ **HC** — Hereditary Cataracts

✓ **PHPV** — Eye anomaly

✓ **Dentition** — Complete scissor bite

Only **clear** or **unaffected** dogs are used, ensuring healthy puppies and robust offspring.
